Burnout Software ("Burnout Software," "we," "us," or "our") is a software company that builds careful, private tools. Our first app is HairAgain, a hair-loss treatment companion, with a second app on the way. This policy explains how we handle personal data across our company and on this website, burnoutsoftware.com.
02What this policy covers
This policy covers the company website and the way we handle contact you send us. It is deliberately short, because the site itself collects very little.
Our apps are different. Each app has its own account, its own data, and its own privacy policy that describes exactly what it collects and why. If you use one of our apps, read that app's policy for the full picture:

03Information we handle
Browsing this website does not require an account, and we don't ask you to sign in or hand over personal details to read it.
If you email us
- When you write to support@burnoutsoftware.com, we receive your email address and whatever you put in your message. We use it only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation.
Standard server logs
- Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when a page loads, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is used to serve the site, keep it secure, and diagnose problems. We don't use it to build a profile of you or to advertise to you.
Fonts
- This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches a font, your IP address is shared with Google to deliver the file, under Google's terms. We don't send Google anything else about you, and we don't use Google Analytics or any advertising product.
Cookies
- We don't set cookies to track you, and we don't run an analytics or advertising cookie of any kind on this site.
04What we never do
These are commitments across everything we build, not settings that can be toggled on:
- We never sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We never use the content you put into our apps to train machine-learning models.
- We don't show ads, and we don't embed third-party trackers or advertising SDKs.
05Service providers
We rely on a small number of providers to run this website. They process data only to provide their service to us, under their own security and privacy commitments:

06Our apps & your data
When you use one of our apps, that app collects and stores the data it needs to work, such as your account, your entries, and any photos you choose to add. How that works, where it's stored, and how to delete it are all described in the app's own privacy policy.
You can delete your account and its data from inside the app. See the HairAgain Privacy Policy for the specifics for that app.
07Retention
We keep support emails for as long as we need them to help you and to keep a record of the request, then delete them in the normal course. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and operations. Data inside our apps is retained and deleted as described in each app's policy.
08Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we don't sell data or serve targeted ads, there is no such activity to opt out of.
To exercise any right, or to ask us about the data we hold, contact us at the address below. We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights. For data held inside an app, the fastest path is usually the app itself.
09Children
Our website and apps are intended for adults. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
10International users
We operate using cloud infrastructure that may process and store data in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law. By using this website, you understand your information may be processed in these locations.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. For material changes, we'll make the update clear on this page. Your continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
